Tiger Leaping Gorge, known as "dangerous", is one of the deepest canyons in China.
 
 
Tiger Leaping Gorge is divided into Shangri-La and Lijiang sections. Shangri-La Tiger Leaping Gorge is a national AAAA-level tourist scenic spot. It includes upper, middle and lower Tiger Leaping Gorge and high-way hiking line. Among them, Tiger Leaping Gorge hiking line is known as "one of the top ten classical hiking routes in the world". It mainly consists of high-way hiking line and Zhonghu Leaping Gorge hiking line. It consists of two parts. Tiger Leaping Gorge is located in the territory of Tiger Leaping Gorge Town, Shangri-la City, 96 kilometers from Shangri-la City, 80 kilometers from Lijiang City. In the northeast of Longpan Township, Yulong Naxi Autonomous County (formerly Lijiang Naxi Autonomous County) of Yunnan Province. The Canyon is 17 kilometers long, the main peak of Yulong Snow Mountain on the south bank is 5,596 meters above sea level, and the Haba Snow Mountain on the north bank is 5,396 meters above sea level. The width of the middle river is only 30-60 meters.
 
 
The upper gorge mouth of Tiger Leaping Gorge is 1800 meters above sea level, and the lower gorge mouth is 1630 meters above sea level. There is a difference of 2500-3000 meters between mountains and rivers on both sides. The valley slope is steep and magnificent. The river flow has fallen seven steep ridges in succession in the gorge, with a short drop of 216 meters. It is one of the deepest canyons in the world. In the past, the river was cut off by landslides, and there are still debris left over. Another name is Xinyi Tiger Leaping Gorge in Guangdong Province.
